When Idio Disc Golf set out to create the first performance shoe designed specifically for disc golfers, they redefined what it means to step onto the course prepared. This project aimed to spotlight the shoe’s durability, grip, and style in a way that matched its groundbreaking design. Instead of a standard product highlight, we approached the campaign like a cinematic brand story — merging sport, lifestyle, and product into one cohesive film.
Production Approach
This spec commercial was produced entirely in our studio, with a focus on dramatic, cinematic visuals that matched the rugged identity of the Idio shoe. Using a combination of cinema camera work and high-speed filming, we created powerful moments that brought the product to life:
Shoes hammered by rain, emphasizing water resistance and toughness.
Rocks and rubble surrounding and striking the shoe, showcasing durability in harsh conditions.
Controlled lighting setups designed to carve out striking silhouettes, highlight textures, and give the shoe a heroic presence.
By isolating the shoe in an intense, stylized environment, we created a visceral, almost larger-than-life feel that positions the product as an essential piece of performance gear.
Result
The finished commercial positions the Idio Disc Golf shoe not just as footwear, but as an essential piece of a player’s game. The film stands as a proof of concept for what Anthem Disc Golf offers: high-end, cinematic media tailored for disc golf brands.
